Maintaining Cyber, Physical Security are High Co-op Priorities
Dakota Electric strives to protect the grid and safeguard our members’ assets and data against cyberattacks. Co-ops work together and share cybersecurity information with each other, with industry partners and the federal government. Co-ops are seeking better access to government intelligence about threats so that they can respond quickly to protect members’ power and data.
As a member of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), Dakota Electric remains committed to following NRECA’s standards and recommended best practices for securing its information resources in the face of ongoing cyber threats and security risks. Sharing information and knowledge, along with ongoing training and awareness, is core to Dakota Electric’s security program.
