Dakota Electric’s board of directors announces the appointment of Cyndee Fields as a new member of the Board of Directors. The appointment comes following a vacancy in District 3 after long-time board director Bill Holton passed away in 2022.
Effective Immediately, Cyndee Fields assumes director responsibilities and will fulfill the District 3, Seat 2 term until the April 2025 election.
As per Article III, Section 5 of Dakota Electric Association’s bylaws, in the event of a director’s vacancy, the remaining directors have the authority to appoint a successor.
“Dakota Electric’s board of directors is dedicated to providing reliable electricity and excellent service to its members,” said Paul Bakken, board chair for Dakota Electric. “The appointment of Cyndee Fields to the board of directors further strengthens the cooperative’s ability to meet its mission and serve the community effectively.”
